Exploring Labor’s Concerns discussed an overview of workplace violence.  Although OSHA has no definitive standard on it, the General Duty clause is often referenced.  However, that is a bit vacuous in its application.  The issues and opportunities were also presented that explored the various risk factors, educational / professional development opportunities, means of de-escalation as well as possible sanctions to those committing violence in the workplace.

Are certain people not able to perform in certain work environments?  To what extent, then, is it prudent to bring that to discussion especially in light of wanting to treat all workers with fairness and equity?
